Diversity

We strive to attract fellows with shared values and place great importance on supporting and helping our fellows thrive personally and professionally.

Diversity

We strive to attract fellows with shared values and place great importance on supporting and helping our fellows thrive personally and professionally.

Our program and department at Brown values diversity in its myriad forms. We are committed to the recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce, recognizing the value that diverse backgrounds and life experiences bring to our program, our hospital and our patients. We strive to attract fellows with shared values and place great importance on supporting and helping our fellows thrive personally and professionally.

We achieve this goal with a Zero-Tolerance policy for racism and discrimination, and active engagement in educational efforts to address implicit bias, structural racism, and health disparities. We acknowledge the critical need to address structural racism and health disparities, recognizing that this must happen on individual and systems levels in an ongoing manner to impact continual, crucial change. We are steadfast in our mission to foster and promote an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming environment for all.

Office of Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

The Office of Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion promotes social responsibility, active engagement, and the well-being of our communities in the pursuit of health equity.
